DLIS serves it’s clients through seven service points: Roseau Pubic Library, Portsmouth Library, Grand Bay Branch Library, Marigot Branch Library, Mobile Library (North), the National Documentation Centre and the National Archives Unit. 

The Chief Librarian has overall responsibility for the Service and manages a total of thirty-three staff members supported by the Librarian I at the Roseau Public Library, Librarian II/Indexer responsible for the Documentation Centre, Librarian II at the Portsmouth Library and Mobile Library in the North, a Library Technician responsible for the Grand Bay Branch Library.  The National Archives Unit is under the direct supervision of the Chief Librarian while the Marigot Branch is supervised by a Librarian II stationed at the Roseau Public Library. 

As the DLIS  strives to contribute to economic, social and sustainable  development, in addition to providing library and information services, it participates in and offers to groups and individuals several outreach programmes which help to support the education process, facilitate empowerment,  foster creativity and imagination, capacity building and social awareness.
